Jamie Jordan For 387th District Court Judge

I am running for Judge of the 387th Fort Bend County, District (Family) Court.

I am a compassionate and relatable advocate who strives to connect with individuals that face some of the most difficult times of their lives, navigating through tough family law matters.

I am a long-time resident of Fort Bend County, Texas with two decades of working the most complex family law cases there are. I am the obvious choice for family court judge of the 387th District Court because I represent the spirit of this county.

Commitment To The Community

I’m proud of my down-home country roots. Growing up in a small town, I learned the importance of hard work, honesty, and treating others with respect and dignity. values have shaped me into the person I am today and have instilled in me a deep sense of commitment to my community and to the principles of justice and fairness.

I grew up in a small farming community. My dad, a local farmer, taught me the values of hard work, commitment, and dedication. I worked beside him on the family farm helping him tend to the land, work cattle, and fix fences. We grew up with an appreciation for the land, animals, and each other.

As judge of the 387th District Court, I will bring this same sense of commitment to the bench. I believe that a judge must be someone who is deeply connected to the community, who understands the values and traditions of the people, and who is committed to finding solutions that are fair and just.

I understand the importance of listening carefully to all sides, considering all the evidence, and making decisions based on the facts and the law. I believe that these are the essential qualities of a good judge, and I am committed to upholding them with every decision I make. As a successful Family Law Attorney, I know the needs of the people I serve.

Perserverance & Compassion

I recognize the importance of perseverance and the ability to navigate struggles in our lives. Life is not always easy, and we all face challenges and obstacles at some point in our journey. However, it’s how we navigate those struggles and perseverance through difficult times that defines us as individuals.

I was raised by a mom who faced her fair share of struggles and obstacles in life. My mom encountered an unpredictable challenge when she was just the young age of 26. I was only three years old at the time when she suffered from a stroke that left her disabled and paralyzed on the right side of her body, her dominant side. I watched her successfully navigate tasks that many of us take for granted. She’s resilient and determined to overcome several hurdles throughout my upbringing. She showed me the true meaning of determination and never giving up.

These are the qualities that have shaped me into the woman I am today, and they have instilled in me a deep sense of compassion and understanding for those who are going through difficult times.

As your judge of the 387th District Court, I will bring this same spirit of compassion to the bench. I believe that a judge must be someone who is deeply connected to the community, who understands the challenges and struggles that people face, and who is committed to finding solutions that are fair and just. Because of my upbringing, I am persistent, compassionate, dedicated to the service of others and hard working. Compassion has been an essential part of my life.

I completed my education in Nursing and Health Care Administration as it seemed to be a natural transition from my upbringing as a caretaker of my mom. I entered law school while working in nursing and raising my children. I believe that compassion means having empathy for others, understanding their struggles, and being committed to finding solutions that are fair and just.

Relatable

I believe that being relatable is an essential part of being a good judge. As a judge, I will be committed to understanding and connecting with the people who come before me, and to being a judge who is accessible and approachable.

Relatability has been an important part of my life. I am a proud mother of five children. Three of my children are attending college and have graduated from FBISD. My oldest son is a junior majoring in physics at the University of Texas.

My oldest daughter is a sophomore at Texas A&M, yes, a house divided, majoring in animal science and pre-med.

My middle child and daughter attends Columbia University and is participating in a dual program in Dublin, Ireland with Trinity University.

I have a 13-year-old daughter who is actively involved in FFA and 4H. She raises and shows cattle in the Fort Bend County area.

My youngest and 10-year-old son participates in basketball. I believe that being relatable means being able to connect with people from all walks of life, to understand their experiences, and to make them feel heard and understood.

As judge of the 387th District Court, I will bring this same sense of relatability to the bench. I believe that a judge must be someone who is approachable, who is able to listen and understands the perspective of others, and who is committed to finding solutions that are fair and just.

Serving The Community

I am committed to serving my community. For me, serving as a judge is not a job, it is a calling. I believe that the role of a judge is to serve the people, to ensure that justice is done, and to uphold the rule of law.

Service has been a fundamental part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have served the less advantaged in the community through food drives, outreach programs and fundraisers. Some of the programs that I have been involved in is Second Mile Ministries, Attack Poverty, and serving through a local church in mission programs.

These experiences have taught me the value of putting others first, of working hard to make a positive difference in people’s lives, and of being accountable to those I serve.

As your judge of the 387th District Court, I will bring this same spirit of compassion to the bench. I believe that a judge must be someone who is deeply connected to the community, who understands the challenges and struggles that people face, and who is committed to finding solutions that are fair and just.

I believe a judge must be more than just an impartial arbiter of the law. A judge must be someone who is deeply connected to the community, who understands the challenges and struggles that people face, and who is committed to finding solutions that are fair and just.

All Matter

Everyone is important, and we each participate in our community. All should have a voice, and the opportunity to be treated justly and fairly in all matters. I am committed to helping people from all backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities.

As a judge, my duty is to uphold the law, protect the rights of all individuals, and ensure that justice is served in each and every case that comes before the court.

I believe that a judge must be someone who is impartial, respectful, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the people who come before the court. It is essential to recognize that different people may have different needs, beliefs, and values, and it is critical to treat everyone with the same level of respect and dignity.

I understand that the judicial system can be complex and intimidating for many people, and my goal is to make the process as easy and straightforward as possible. I will work closely with local organizations to provide resources and support to those in need, especially those who are underserved or marginalized.

When elected, I will be the judge that is dedicated to helping people from all backgrounds. I will work tirelessly to ensure that the people who come before me receive a fair and impartial hearings, regardless of their background, status, or circumstances.

I will be a judge who listens carefully, who is open-minded and fair and who is always accountable to the people I serve. I will bring a sense of compassion and understanding to the bench. I believe that a judge must be someone who is empathetic, who listens carefully to all sides, and who understands the unique struggles and challenges that people face in their lives.

I humbly ask for your vote and support in this campaign. Together, we can ensure that our judicial system remains strong, fair, and just for all.
